Southard Sets Record;
PHS Track Team Finishes Third

Harris doubles. PHS's Nate Southard and Paul Harris were double winners at the 2008 St. John Invitational Friday.
Southard set a new invitational record in the 400M with a time of 50.64.
He also captured the 200M (23.52).
His 162-2 throw in the javelin earned second, but was the longest of the PHS junior's career.
He added a second second. Along with Bryce Krehbiel, John Rowland, and Harris, he made up part of the Greenbacks' 4x400M relay (3:36.58).
Harris swept the 800M and 1600M. His 2:06.02 800M was the day's best as was his 4:52.9 1600M time.
He formed the 4x800M PHS relay with Willson Worden, Will Shoup, and Jack Boyd. The quartet placed second, running a 9:14.71.
Boyd cruised to fifth in the 3200M (11:31.20).
Krehbiel collected a fifth-place finish after running the 300M hurdles in 44.54. Luke South was one spot behind (46.50).
Pratt placed third in the team competition. They tallied 69 points to settle behind invitational champion LaCrosse (107) and runner-up Meade (102).
