Once Again, Harris and Southard Double;
At the Larned Track and Field Invitational

Nate Southard and Paul Harris continue to divide and conquer. The duo doubled and helped lead the Pratt High School boys" track and field team to victory at the Larned Invitational Tuesday.
The pair was coming off victories at the St. John Invitational. Tuesday in Larned, Southard won the 200M in 22.89 and the 400M in 51.05. Harris earned an 800M win with a time of 2:06.68. His 1600M time - 4:38 - was 15 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
Pratt's 90 points crowned them champions and out-distanced runner-up Pawnee Heights (79) by 11 points. The Greenbacks' 3200M specialist, Jack Boyd, completed the eight laps in 10:54.88 and placed second.
Will Shoup finished third in the 800M (2:11.87).
Rhett Hostetler collected a pair of top six finishes. The sophomore's 12.09 100M time took third. A 16-11.25 long jump gave him sixth.
Bryce Krehbiel (44.54) and Jake Renner (45.51) were 3-4 in the 300M hurdles.
Thursday, April 24, PHS heads south to Medicine Lodge. The meet begins at 4 p.m.
