Dear Parent:
Your child received Title 1 services this past school year. We hope you were pleased with the extra instruction your child received. In an effort to give your child a “Jump Start” on this coming school year we would like to serve your child with supplemental services beginning as early as Monday, August 25, 2008.
Your student could receive small group or one-on-one instruction during the course of this school year. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade have the opportunity to receive Title 1 or At-Risk services in reading and/or math.
If the classroom and Title 1 teachers deem the supplemental instruction is no longer needed, we will contact you and discuss the discontinuation of Title 1/AT-Risk services.
If you prefer to wait for annual testing and do NOT want your child to participate in this opportunity for early intervention, please call the school or send the bottom of this note with your student on the first day of school. If we do not hear from you, we will continue services until supplemental instruction is no longer needed by your child.
