I have been told that if we keep doing things the way we have
always done them, we will continue to get the same results.
Sometimes this is good sometimes it is not. It is a wise man,
indeed, who knows the difference and can decide what needs to
change.
The Pratt district is fortunate to be governed by a Board of Education that is wise. Furthermore, the Board is supported by administrators and staff who make critical decisions to maintain traditions of strength in such areas as state assessments, student achievement, curriculum development, and faculty improvement.
At the same time we celebrate our past accomplishments, we know that the future depends upon our ability to courageously change what is needed. Not only do we want the same outstanding results on which our traditions are founded, we want to continue to build toward excellence.
The goal to build growth upon tradition gives us the best of both a firm foundation and a future filled with challenge and hope.
I welcome you to a new school year and encourage you to be part of an exciting future in Pratt USD #382.
