Greenback Cheer Places 5th at Inaugural KSHSAA Competition

November 21, 2017

The PHS Cheer Squad got 5th place on November 18 at the KSHSAA Gameday Competition in Topeka.  This is the 1st Time KSHSAA has had a competition that cheerleaders compete and are ranked.

The 4A division included 25 squads competing.   The top 6 made it to the finals, which was a huge accomplishment.  The cheer squad practice through buffer week to continue working and sharpening up their skills and preparing for competition.  In the preliminary round Pratt had zero deductions for going over time, safety infractions or rules violations.  The three preliminary rounds were each one minute long and included a performance of our school song, a crowd leading segment and a band dance.  The final round encompassed these three rounds and included a situational element to show an understanding of the game.

Our Pratt High Cheerleaders are anxious to support our Winter Teams in the upcoming season.
