How Accu-Scan Works
The district's lunch program uses the Accu-Scan I.D. meal card system. High school and middle school students are responsible for keeping their own I.D. cards. Elementary schools will use scanners and no cards will be issued. The I.D. card is scanned each time a meal is purchased, automatically subtracting the charge from the student's account balance.

Government Policy and 2006-2007 Meal Prices
One breakfast and one lunch per student per day is reimbursed by the government for eligible students. Students who purchase a second meal or a cash meal will be charged the full non-reimbursable cost of the meal.
PHS/LMS students may purchase additional entrees from the main line. There is a salad bar at the central cafeteria.
Parents wishing to make application for free and reduced meals for their students should apply with the District Food Service Representative, Carol McKenna in the Central Office at 401 N. Ninnescah.
Application forms are included with mail-in enrollment packet or may be picked up at any time at the Central Office during weekday business hours. They are also available at any district attendance center during the enrollment process.
See the official USDA publication included with application for family income guidelines concerning eligibility for free and reduced lunch tickets.
