Greenback Family,

Our USD 382 district facility committee, which includes community members, has been studying input from engineers (technical evaluations on our buildings) and reviewing existing and predicted needs. For background information, we have 5 buildings: 1) The Academic Center for Excellence (ACE)--formerly the high school and currently houses the central office and our preschool; 2) Southwest Elementary--grades K-4; 3) Liberty Middle School--grades 5-8; 4) Pratt High School--grades 9-12; and 5) our transportation facility.  Last fall, we sent out an informal survey to help steer our planning.  Now, we need more formal input as our committee has developed a base recommended plan for the district.

To that end, each household in our school district will receive a survey that can be done online or through the traditional paper version.  Because our schools are for our whole community, we need input from the wider 382 district.  The survey will have background information and give more specifics at this stage of the planning.  Certainly, moving forward would still require more staff and patron input to expand planning beyond the current concept-design phase (the big picture).

We appreciate your support and input in helping us guide our long-term planning so we are able to continue to put students on a road to success and provide our community and businesses with great schools.

Respectfully,

Tony Helfrich

Superintendent
