COVID Update - March 22, 2021

Greenback Family,

The pandemic numbers have moved into the Green zone for us locally. Per our Green protocols, we
operate in Green Plus restrictions for 10 days following an extended break of five days or more due to
the frequency of long travel for students and staff.

This is a change from my March 5 th message, where I stated we would be in Amber protocols for this
week. Honestly, we have been surprised by the decrease in the numbers both locally and in our region.
We are not out of the pandemic. However, at this time, we believe our numbers make it appropriate to
move to our Green Plus protocols for the remainder of this week and next.

We will, of course, continue to monitor the data and will be ready to increase our zone level if it is
warranted. The numbers could climb again and we will be watchful, so we help protect our community
and students. We continue to work with the Pratt County Health Department to clear the major items
with them.

For Green Plus, students will still need to enter building with a mask, and masks will be universally
required at passing periods and close-contact activities. For any questions, please contact building
principals as the protocols are adapted for the age of students and activities.

We appreciate your support. Go Green!

Respectfully,
Tony Helfrich
