Welcome to USD 382

On behalf of our Board of Education, teachers, and staff, welcome to Pratt Schools USD 382. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our district and the opportunities available to our students. We are proud of the work we do each day to prepare students for success, personal well-being, and meaningful futures.

At Pratt Schools, we are proud to be a small-town district where strong relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Our principals know their students personally, and our staff members are committed to creating a supportive environment where every student feels valued and connected. Programs such as Greenback Match, which pairs high school students with elementary students, help foster leadership, mentorship, and a strong sense of family across our district. In our elementary and middle schools, daily family meetings build teamwork, belonging, and positive relationships. We believe that developing students’ social-emotional strengths is just as important as their academic growth because those skills contribute to lifelong success and well-being.

While we take pride in our close-knit environment, we also offer exceptional opportunities for our students. Pratt Schools provides outstanding arts programs, including band, vocal music, theater, debate, forensics, and visual arts. Our district features a model Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) program at the elementary level, enrichment opportunities for all students, and a variety of career pathways taught by instructors with expertise in their respective fields. Through internship and apprenticeship experiences, students gain valuable real-world skills and connections. Additionally, our partnership with Pratt Community College allows many college-bound students to graduate with 15 to 30 hours—or more—of college credit already completed.

In athletics and activities, our students compete at a high level. Pratt High School participates primarily at the 4A classification level, with football competing in 3A. This competitive environment provides opportunities for students to participate and excel in multiple activities while developing the discipline, resilience, and work ethic required for success. Our Greenback alumni continue their educational journeys at Division I and Division II institutions, community colleges, technical schools, and universities across the country, earning scholarships for both academics and athletics. Regardless of the path they choose, we are proud of our graduates and the positive impact they make in their communities and professions.

Pratt Schools truly offers the best of both worlds: the personal connections of a small school and the opportunities often found in much larger districts. We are proud to be a Greenback family.

If you would like to learn more about our schools or schedule a tour, please do not hesitate to contact one of our principals or me directly. We would welcome the opportunity to share what makes Pratt Schools such a special place for students to learn, grow, and succeed.

Sincerely,

Steve Blankenship
Superintendent of Schools
