KEN JONES - CLASS OF 1975
Ken graduated from Pratt High School in 1975. He then graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University while on a full Army ROTC scholarship. Through 35 years of military service, Ken accumulated 14,000+ hours of flight hours, with a world record 10,300 of those hours in the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter. He had four deployments, including one to Kuwait and three to Afghanistan, and participated in numerous day and night combat operations, part of a career that included 2,270 combat flight hours. His military honors are too numerous to list but include the Legion of Merit, three Bronze Stars and four Air Medals with V (Valor) device. Ken flying skills were instrumental in the successful rescue of both civilians and special forces who were in harm’s way behind enemy lines. After military retirement, Ken has served as a civilian EMS helicopter and EMS Learjet pilot.
