COVID Update - April 6, 2021

Greenback Family,

The pandemic numbers have moved back into the Green Zone, so we will move to our Green protocols starting Wednesday, April 7th.  We are not completely removed from the pandemic and we will remain watchful of the numbers and adjust accordingly.

For Green protocols, we still have some limited masking requirements based around time and close contact exposure.  We are committed to keeping our kids in school and helping ensure that our community stays on the right trend line.

Because transportation is a closed environment, we will still require masking during route and activity bus trips.  We will require students in food lines and food service workers to wear a mask.  Because we will require students to wear a mask (Grades 5-12) for close contact activities that extend beyond 10 minutes, we will require students to enter buildings with a mask in the morning; this will help us maintain mask discipline and consistency where it is still appropriate.  There will be some differences between buildings so feel free to visit with administrators if you have a question.

Of course, we still have to be prepared for requirements to ramp up if the numbers should increase.  We will continue to work with the Pratt County Health Department to determine proper protocols as we finish the school year.

On another note, our elementary and middle school students are taking assessments tomorrow.  A healthy diet and enough rest are very underrated elements for student performance—academically and athletically—and overall wellbeing.

We appreciate your support.  Go Green!

Respectfully,

Tony Helfrich
